At The FirstPort Group, we are proud to promote and celebrate career progression. That\u2019s why we are delighted to put the spotlight on Service Charge Accountant Ryan.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ryan was recently promoted to a team leader position, marking a significant milestone in his career at FirstPort.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He is currently being supported by the business to undertake his accountancy exams, which has subsequently had a positive impact on his professional career.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ryan said: \u201cTransitioning into more senior roles is possible and FirstPort will invest in you. As a result, my confidence has grown immeasurably.\u201d <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ryan graduated from Reading University in 2020 during the height of the Covid pandemic and \u2013 following a difficult job market – he secured his first full-time job in 2022. Ryan added: \u201cIt is amazing to think how far I have come in the last two years. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI always felt very comfortable so when the chance of a promotion became available, I was very honest and highlighted areas that I needed to improve on.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMy managers have been fantastic, and I routinely sit down with our Service Charge Account Manager and tap into his extensive knowledge. This has and continues to be invaluable to my own learning.\u201d <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Looking ahead, Ryan would like to achieve his <\/span>Chartered Institute of Management Accountants qualification.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But for now, his words of advice for anyone thinking of taking their next career step is to \u201cgo for it as the opportunities for growth are here\u201d.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
