Her commitment and expertise were soon recognised, and in March 2022, she was promoted to her current managerial role.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Working in property management<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As Customer Excellence Manager, Rebekah is responsible for<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> five teams, based <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">across Birmingham and Exeter. Her role involves more than just handling customer communications \u2013 it\u2019s also about fostering growth within her teams and continually improving the way they operate. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Rebekah explains: \u201cCustomer Excellence is such a great department to join. It\u2019s a perfect starting point for those who want to learn the business, and it offers real career progression.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For Rebekah, the ability to create real change is one of the most rewarding aspects of her job. She said: \u201cWhat I love most about my role is the opportunity to empower our teams. I get to make improvements, implement changes, and actually see the positive impact of those decisions.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Career progression opportunities<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For those interested in a career in property management, Rebekah explains that there is a clear progression structure in place for Property Service Specialist roles. \u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cThe structure allows colleagues to advance through different levels based on their experience and learning \u2013 starting from entry-level, moving to experienced, and finally to expert. While the core responsibilities of the role remain consistent, colleagues gain more responsibility at each stage.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">She adds: \u201cMany of those who have followed this progression path have successfully transitioned into new roles within The FirstPort Group, including Property Manager positions. A great example of this is within the Exeter team, where one colleague who started as a Property Service Specialist, has been thriving as a Team Leader for the past year.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Two other colleagues from Rebekah\u2019s team are currently on the path toward becoming Property Managers, further highlighting the culture of support for growth and professional development at The FirstPort Group.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Explore a career in property management\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Rebekah highlights the variety and the people she works with. \u201cYou can\u2019t ever be bored here,\u201d she says. \u201cWhile we are a reactive team that handles a range of customer issues, our teams take the time to resolve problems, and there\u2019s a lot of satisfaction in being able to reach a resolution.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For anyone considering a role at FirstPort, Rebekah encourages them to apply, even if they don\u2019t have prior industry experience. She explained: \u201cIt\u2019s absolutely an industry I would recommend.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cWith the Property Service Specialist roles, there\u2019s no pressure to know everything beforehand, thanks to our industry-accredited training programme.
