Ten years ago, Flavia started working as a cleaner at a development in north-west London. She remained working at that development and has progressed to become a Development Manager \u2013 a role that involves her managing two developments near Wembley Stadium, overseeing more than 550 units and over 1,000 residents.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI never thought I\u2019d be in this position,\u201d Flavia reflects. \u201cBack then, I just focused on doing my best in the role I was in, but I knew I wanted to take on more responsibility.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After progressing to a Concierge role in 2018, Flavia gained the essential experience needed to understand the day-to-day operations involved with managing a building.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She quickly became familiar with resolving residents\u2019 issues, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth running of the development.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Flavia explains: \u201cI loved helping people and getting to know how everything worked behind the scenes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI was always actively asking for more responsibility and doing things, which meant I got more experience. The more I learnt, the more I enjoyed it, and it felt like I was getting closer to where I wanted to be.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2022, just five years after joining the concierge team, Flavia was promoted to Assistant Development Manager and by end of 2023 she was promoted to Development Manager.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Flavia says: \u201cI have always been self-motivated and eager to learn. I readily soaked up all of the training so I had the additional knowledge and could deliver according to industry standards.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCurrently, I am making my way through FirstPort\u2019s industry-accredited training programme. This provides me with both the fundamentals of property management and will support our vision to become the nation\u2019s trusted residential property management business.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Flavia believes her progression within the property management sector has given her a strong understanding of every role within a development.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHaving started as a cleaner, I\u2019ve learned the ins and outs of how everything works. It helps me guide my team because I know the challenges they face. It helps me connect with residents because I understand what it takes to make their home run smoothly. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so proud of what I\u2019ve achieved and I\u2019m excited for what comes next.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
