The Mayor of Solihull recently visited a Later Living development in Solihull, to join the community in celebrating a resident\u2019s 100th birthday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eileen Ponsonby has been a much-loved member of the community at Pegasus Court for 15 years and is an active participant in the extensive programme of activities available to residents throughout each week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To mark her special day, Eileen\u2019s neighbours joined her for a party in her honour, in the development\u2019s communal lounge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also among the guests was Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Shahin Ashraf, alongside Deputy Mayor, Councillor Annette Mackenzie, who is a regular visitor to Pegasus Court. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Monique Astruc, Development Manager at Pegasus Court, commented: \u201cEileen is an amazing lady and has been an extremely happy resident at Pegasus Court for 15 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEileen is our first ever resident to celebrate their\u202f100th birthday with us. The residents and I wanted to celebrate this wonderful member of our community and throw a party and it was lovely to have the Mayor and Deputy Mayor joining in our celebrations too!\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reflecting on a wonderful day surrounded by her friends, Eileen said: \u201cThanks to Monique, the Development Manager for inviting the Mayor of Solihull to come to my party, it really made my day.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Mayor told me she would like to return to Pegasus Court and join us for a coffee morning.
